It makes absolutely zero sense. Just like why PSN MTX won't transfer to pc like every other platform.
We all made dumb names to avoid have a duplicate name. Now we have dumb names with dumb #'s attached. tbh I'm a heady grinder. I played this game for a week and am pretty disappointed.
If you're not satisfied with your username, email GGG at support@grindinggear.com and they'll help you change it. Beyond that it serves no purpose to complain about a PSN problem on here. Bark up the right tree and you might get something changed.

it does look a bit clunky in the forum, i think just use a slightly darker text colour for the #NUMBER part of the name so that your eye easily reads the name at a glance without the number being a mess
i dunno about u lot but i dont really look at the letters in a word i often just have a memory of an overall shape, my mind clocks it, its the same with reading item text when you ID items in game. you know max life, resists, you dont really read the entire lines you just know what it is at a glance. but you put all these numbers at the end its just a mess, i have to actually stop and read peoples names to know who you all are now every time and its just jarring.
