are we playing the same game? towns became vegas strips not long after 1.0. before that we got some cute pets that were actually cool to see in town and sparked a convo. now its idle characters decked out in full neon anime cosplays with particle effects, and unlike sound you can't 'mute' that.

Exactly. If I could turn of the video and still play I would, but you see the problem there I think.

Nobody bought the goblin troupe "to annoy everybody else." We got them because they're hilarious. The fact that some people hate them is hardly the fault of people who like them.

I absolutely loathe the Mimic pet. It makes my ears cry every time it goes off in town. I don't blame the people who bought it or call them monsters, though. It's simply unfortunate for me that I strongly dislike that pet.

Besides. In about fourteen hours the goblin troupe will disappear from purchase and swiftly become quite rare. It will not have much impact on Path 2.

honestly, with poe2 being a new game, they just could make it so that you wont see any pets from another player while in town, or just disable pets in towns alltogether, would help the loading time issues some ppl have in poe1 when entering towns
