Chance to deal double damage [solved]

Skill is Kinetic Blast of the clustering
Does this only apply to the origin projectile or for each explosion individually or for all of them combined after forking?

I knew that.
My question was specific to the amount of rolls.

If my initital proc hits and forks 3 times which results in 3 explosions,
do i have than 7x5% = 35% chance to deal double damage?

Or once with the initital hit, than 3 times 5% for each forked projectile + 3 times 5% for each explosion which would result in just 5% chance.



Strange:
5% chance to deal double damage resulted in +6,8% dps i PoB.
After i downloaded the new update its +9,8%.

Whats the source of double damage you are adding? Trying to see it on your POB. On your POB i've got you doing 988,855 proj damage. Up to 1,039,628 with 5% chance double damage as a custom mod. Which checks out pretty close to 1.05x. Your configuration might be different though.

Just tested if its worth to craft it on another wand.

On my ring its exactly 5%.
On my wand Doubling the chance resulting in more than trippling the outcome.

Not sure why that would be. If I remove your crafted mod on your wand ive got you at 847k dmg, then if i add it as 5% double got u at 890k. Which is 5 %.

I'm still getting 5% using that POB, goes from 11,091,000 to 11,650,000 (rounded down to nearest 1000). I'm reading these numbers off the readout for kinetic blast on the left hand side of POB. If you're reading the percentage change off the popup box comparison, as shown in the images you added, I think it may not always be giving an accurate evaluation. I'm not sure exactly what that number uses in its calculation, you would expect it to be the same, but i've notice before when comparing weapons that the numbers didn't line up correctly. I don't think it is wrong, I just think there may be some different factors in the calculation that are not being taken into account. Not certain exactly what these are in the case of your POB, would need to look at it a bit more carefully to figure it out, but suggest the numbers in the left hand column are accurate, even if if is a bit more cumbersome to get there rather than the green numbers in the mouseover popup box.

(Although in saying that, I've checked and the green popup box is showing me exactly 5% increase for adding it on your weapon. So I'm not sure where you are getting a discrepancy from. I'm adding the double damage mod using the add modifier button and crafting bench drop down, rather that item text editor, but not sure why that would make any difference, so might be some other reason. I think it's safe to assume it will give you 5% more damage on average. Regarding your first question, going by what chakra posted, it sounds like whether this procs is calculated individually for every time the skill hits, rather than all or nothing per use.)
