cant hit with my shield

i cant see offhand stats on the char screen and cant hit anything with it
im using shield crush build with juggernaut and im back after a year break now i cant do anything with my build but when i swap my shield with a one handed axe on offhand i can see the stats on char screen


Found the problem its my shooes actually but doesnt have any clue why

im using dawnstriders vaal greaves strange

This league, Settlers, came with changes to the core game (ie effects Standard as well) regarding Melee, and especially totems.

Dawnstrider used to increase the effects of the buff you get for having an Ancestral Protector or Ancestral Warchief totem active and made the buff linger, in exchange for only being able to have one such buff at a time. Those totems are no longer part of the game, and the boots were changed to their current form.

Their current form has Ancestral Bond, which prevents you from doing any damage yourself. You can only damage enemies with totems, and the boots support Slam attacks with Earthbreaker, which makes them spawn a Totem which uses the attack for you.
