questions from a Diablo player

so technically you're saying POE is an incomplete game which requires a certain amount of money to be paid before the advantage given by stashes is negated.

Or you can look at PoE as a game with a free demo - a really big free demo. :)

You know the memes:

"I just finished Act 10!" - "grats on completing the tutorial"

"I just completed my atlas!" - "grats on completing the tutorial"

In any case, I think my argument that once you "buy the game" by purchasing stash tabs, there is no way to keep spending money for more and more power is a whole lot more useful than what the everything-is-subjective guy is saying.

Which is funny because as this entire thread illustrates, "there is no way to spend money for more power" is entirely subjective, based on what you consider "power" to be. Clearly there are those who feel that you're not at complete "power" as a player until you buy a handful of premium stash tabs.

Whether the term used is convenience, advantage or power, clearly stash tabs provide something that's close to mandatory for enjoyment at later stages of the game. This is true for you, too, isn't it?

if stash tabs were pay to win, i would have noticed me winning at some point.

the thing is, the micromanagement and hoarding involved with those tabs makes them pay to lose.

one guy selling a precious unique over a forum post makes more ingame income than me all league with 200+ tabs
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Mandatory for enjoyment, no. If you are enjoying the game, support it and get some QoL for your money.

None of it is mandatory or mandatory adjacent. You guys seem to lose the meaning of mandatory in this discussion every time.

No. That's exactly the point. They are not mandatory to enjoy the game. I enjoyed the game for many months without spending a single $. All of the game was open to me the whole time.

I eventually spent money on the game because I wanted to support GGG. Yes, stash tabs were one of the first things I purchased, and they're great. I have one of each specialized tab, and I love them. But they are not mandatory to enjoy the game.

Realizing, of course, that "enjoyment" is completely subjective. Your enjoyment and my enjoyment are not necessarily the same.

How about mandatory to be competitive in an event like this with $40,000 in cash prizes?

Okay, I give up - you win! Did you just do that with only 4 tabs?

:)

lol

i did have some mishaps with my calculations. but i ll just summarize it all to

"if you spend money on ingame purchases which give you an ingame advantage over a non playing payer, it's pay to win".

simple as that. anything else and i m repeating myself. i m done for that part.

i will acknowledge that most players do not consider poe p2w as we cannot buy ingame power like diablo immortal.

its ironic as time and effort savers are p2w. if ggg released a special supporter pack where players get xp boosts or get to use level 100 characters directly would it change anyones mind? technically anyone can get to level 100 too. but time isnt an advantage no? lol

anyway. have a nice day folks.
