Wand Meta vs Gameplay Fantasy

The best way to play wands is with mines (specifically locus mine power siphon) which isn't the wand fantasy. I really think spell slinger needs a buff. Wands that cast spells should be more viable please. That is the original fantasy.

I've always had the impression that GGG classes shooty wands at about only slightly above the level they do unarmed, as far as in-game support goes. ='[.]'=

" There are only 3 "shooty" wand skills unless you consider Barrage as well. But even this ability gets to good numbers despite being mostly used for single target setups rather than a allrounder.
