Death Information Suggestion
POE desperately needs a way for you to figure out what is killing you/killed you.
A few ways I think this could be done, either implemented stand alone or in conjunction with each other: 1. A simple notification upon death letting you know what monsters effect killed you. This is the easiest and bare minimum. Obviously leaves a lot of guess work still, but it would be a start and you could go check the wiki/poedb to see what attacks they have/types of damage. Notification could be improved by adding information about the damage being taken at time of death (chaos degen, cold DoT, etc). Ideally this is a summary of damages for a full second or two. Obviously the more information provided the more of a burden on programmers and also probably game servers. 2. Upon death, before you resurrect, enable mouse-over tool tips for monsters and ground effects that provide information on the attacks/damage type I realize POE2 development/rollout means we probably wont see this in POE1 for a long time, if ever, but I think it would be a really big improvement to playability. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last bumped on Oct 30, 2024, 8:10:51 PM

the only way i learned was playing hc and streaming on twitch to make rip clips when i died. in sc its a waste of time to try to analyze every death with any depth and decide what defensive layer you didnt have or failed you.
