getting disconnected to character selection when entering the map

i've died once or twice on the map, nothing seemed out of the ordinary but when I enter this map now I get kicked to character selection screen. portal doesen't get used up. i tried exiting the game and logging back in but it still didn't work. logged in with another character and portals were gone. not sure what happed. opened another map everything seems to work as normal
