November Event suggestions
You probably aren't hearing this for the first time from me here but if you are: POE 2 early access is delayed 3 weeks.
I originally posted these ideas on Youtube, thought I'd also post them here where different people will see them. All of these ideas are intended to not require large amounts of programming, although that doesn't mean I'm necessarily always right about that. Idea 1: Redo Endless Delve, but minus the ignite cheese that was fun once (maybe twice), and with one key design pillar of Endless Delve changed. In the past, Endless Delve forced players to use bad items as access to crafting was about halfway between Ruthless and the non-Ruthless game. Change this pillar, by giving players access to the Recombinator with no cost to use it. Idea 2: Do a mini content patch – a few new scarabs, a new map or two, perhaps 10-15% the content scope of a league, no voice acting etc. Then run a 10 day “Welcome to 3.25.3” league that’s parented to Settlers. Idea 3: Redo Endless Delirium so it meets the expectations of players as a high difficulty, high rewards event. Concrete ideas for that in the video. Idea 4: Expand on the March 2023 event tech (minus the unpopular forced multiplayer mechanics like polarity that were run in those events) and run some new group found races with them. There’s some other good ideas bouncing around too. Multiple people have suggested an SC trade event with the Runic Strife Gauntlet mods and events. And there’s a gem of an idea on reddit, Endless Sanctum. The video discussing this more: https://youtu.be/xG3X1rvIrzY Le Toucan Will Return Last bumped on Oct 31, 2024, 4:54:32 AM

+1 to endless delve. i enjoyed it last time
i'd like to see something with wildwood and sentinel also. |

+1 for Idea #2.
Doesn't even have to be new scarabs, just bring back some old ones. Could make for some crazy combinations. Can anyone say Divination Scarab of Completion + Pilfering? xD I don't think they will do it, but I've fallen in love with the idea of simply making wild wood spawn chance 100%. I realize this wouldnt be enough for some people, and would upset the non-juicing mappers/non-mappers, but for us juicers it is mouth-wateringly appealing. A small change that would help out the other game-mode enjoyers, buff gold drops in previous league content. -Heist -Simulacrum -Logbooks And I haven't done any, but I assume also -Sanctum -Delve “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd on Oct 29, 2024, 11:19:34 AM

I’ll take whatever events we can get. Just not endless deli.

Atlas invasion was 100% the best event i ever played. Seeing shaper in mudflats was awesome. Also actually getting all of the leveling uniques in campaign for a 10 day event is really fun too.
I regret not doing this in hc back when we had it and hope one day we get it again |

No, don't waste their time just for a little pick me up, let them fix what needs fixing instead of distracting them
Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi
He who controls the pants controls the galaxy. - Rick & Morty S3E1 |

" Two completely different games and two different teams. The people who would be doing those events wouldn't be the ones doing the backloading stuff they're struggling with anyways. There's no real overlap there. Not really an excuse/explanation if they keep on with their PoE1 silence. |
|
Its probably not a lot of work to slap in some private league events.
|
|
" they used to do them quite often in the past. if the league goes beyond 4 months then they should absolutely do events. there will be a 3.26 announcement soon so we will see. |
|
" They should absolutely not waste their time and workforce on stuff like that as they are busy with more important things. GGG is not enforced to keep PoE obsessed players 24/7 occupied with events, leagues and what not. Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.
