Poe2 hypothesis- removal of gems sockets possibility of rune words(from D2LOD)

After watching Alkaizer warrior act 1 playthrough, I got the feeling it's going to be proper descendant to diablo 2 ( which is my favourite game after poe). Feeling, atmosphere is spot on.Part of what I love frome diablo 2 is rune system. after removal of gem sockets from items it gives ggg possibility to introduce something similar to poe2. Would you like to see such system in poe2?
