Cannot roll caster modifier x Horticrafiting Crafting = bug?

Not sure if it is a bug, but I got a caster modifier in the following situation:



It also had suffix cannot be changed and I chose reforge with fire modifier, so, as shown, it got a caster modifier!

Metamods are not always respected. Here's a chart that I refer people to. The second chart is a table for Harvest mods and reforge is known to be ignored with caster. Only the prefix/suffix cannot be changed is respected with that one.

metamod is a very old thing. A lot of stuff adding after the intro of metamod, ignore metamod , such as essence fossil


the only weird thing for harvest is some metamod is respected by some craft and some is not, and GGG unlike essence, never officially declare the mechanic

What harvest craft did you use exactly?
What mods did you have before and what result did you get?

Hey man. blackdeath alread help me and; I did explain you question in my post:

But, to be more clear, the item was like:

Prefixes:
-Suffixes cannot be Changed

Suffixes:
-%Increased Intelligence
-Cannot Roll Caster Modifier
-Can have up to 3 crafted modifiers

And by "reforge a rare item..., including a Fire modifier", I was wondering to get Physical damage taken as Fire (warlord), which, beside the caster-flat-modifier to spells (hunter), was the only outcome possible, therefore, determinist (if cannot roll caster modifier worked as I thought).

Ah yea I guess the reforge fire picks a fire mod regardless of meta mod then, I never tried to block harvest reforges with meta mods like that in the past.
It feels weird to meta craft a prefix without having crafted finished suffixes yet but I assume it is for recombinating purposes?
