Abyss stuck on wall, cannot be completed, endless enemy spawn

Found an archived thread which describes this, but cannot reply to it, so making this one.

Basically, abyss hit a wall and now just spawns enemies endlessly. No exp tho :(. Also cannot complete abyss since it won't turn into a depths or a trove. Happened to me in Toxic Sewers.
