Wording issue on support gems and varunastra

I think varunastra should overcome with wording issue on nightblade and close combat skill. for ex. Glacial hammer requires mace, staff or a sceptre. wearing varunastra allow me to use this skill with sword basically but this 2 support gem doesnt support the Glacial hammer skill gem.
