Trading auto equips item with auto equip turned off. Spectre killing

Traded with someone for Gruthkul's Pelt (disables spells) while having no body armour and raised spectres from affliction/ritual (paid for them). Once the trade was done the body armour was auto-equiped despite this option being checked off in my settings, resulting in my Raise Spectre skill being disabled, and me losing the corpses for resummoning. Went back to the sellers hideout and corpses weren't there anymore.

This unique Body Armour is common to use with Animate Guardian, and I can see it happening to other people in the future.
