Short settlers feedback

Returning from a hiatus, I'm very pleased to see that we can respect passives for gold. This is an EXCELLENT decision! Regrets are too expensive for SSF.
Otherwise, settlers is very opaque for newcomers. It's not clear what you have to do (you need to hire and assign miners and those work on the mines you find in encounters?). Otherwise, it looks promising but much more disengaged than other league mechanics.
