I hope PoE 2 has seperate rewards for hardcore/softcore achievements
Remember over 10 years ago when they did this? I felt so cool with my fancy red version of the armor set given as a reward. It actually felt like an achievement instead of just an indicator of how long I grinded a league. And with anti-hardcore gimmicks like insta-logout and town portals during boss-fights being reworked, I'm reallllly hopeful they'll bring this back.

If the two game modes were radically different I would agree.

That would probably get me to play HC again.

then people would just ask for separate rewards for SSF and ruthless also...

" U assume that PoE2 has a ruthless mode? I don't think so and SSF will not get anything special. They will just get the same rewards in SSF SC or SSF HC as the normal modes. But SC and HC rewards once were different and even tho I don't want different challenge leagues again, it would make the rewards more exciting to get imo.
They won't, its high effort for low gains and exacerbates the divisions between player groups.

I don't believe its GGG's goal to incentivize players choosing other modes of play besides the "default" they set, which is SC Trade in PoE 1 and likely the same in PoE 2. That's probably why they got rid of the unique rewards. It's also shown in the way they have treated "standard" over the course of the last 12 years.
It makes no fiscal sense for them to incentivize fragmentation. Those additional modes exist purely for players seeking extra punishment: that's all. That is draw enough for players who want that game experience. Last edited by mefistozxz on Oct 3, 2024, 10:15:40 AM

" So what if people ask that? I think it makes perfect sense to have different rewards.
" +1 one thing ggg doesnt want is to weaken poe1's sc trade economy. usually players who play hardcore are good players and they're likely crafters or high earners which can provide value to the economy. if a large number of them disappeared. less people would buy up stuff. poorer players have less to sell as the demand is lower. " templar looks like an absolute doofus in that armor set. Also if you have that + yellow + blue versions you can make an incredibly ugly looking character lol. Last edited by ladish on Oct 4, 2024, 2:58:20 AM
