10y bug mate. Please fix

Hmm... still can't swap to unarmed/(now new)unencumber with weapon swaping? I have been asking for this bug/feature to be fixed since I started playing, back when I could make fusings with vendor recipes by accident. I promised myself I wouldn't spend money till this was fixed, as I love unarmed melee combat... I'm so disappointed. 10 years man...... 100 years man. I forgot to abstaine. Time, ya know?
Please fix this or send a message on how to fix it when I try to swap. REALLY?

Not really an issue 10 years ago considering Hollow Palm hasn't been in the game for 10 years and Facebreaker can still use shields :)

I've not done it myself, but I recall there being a workaround where you equip a weapon/shield (or gem in that socket) that is just over your attribute requirements by wearing another piece of gear with that attribute, then remove that other piece of gear. It should disable the slot but still let you weapon swap to it?

You can't hit with offhand with a shield, can you? What if you meet all attribute requirements?
You know, I think I deleted my post back the because someone said my problem isn't real and they never tried but knew a "work around". I believe GGG couldn't fix this back then. Can they fix it now?
All I'm asking is for this bug to be fixed. It is real and was real 10y ago.
Please don't troll this bug fix request by stating an argument that I already expressed
a real dedication to. I know most people don't see a person needing some personal freedom through a video game as important to support but more important to belittle and bat down.

Real bug, has been around for 10y. I appreciate anyone pointing out that unarmed can use a shield to swap to. Done.

The point is to use gear you won't meet the attribute requirements for, because it won't be usable. The result is that there's something in the slot so that you can weapon swap to it, but you can't use it so you're still unarmed/unencumbered.

For example, if you wanted a weapon to do this with using Facebreaker, you could temporarily equip some +Intelligence gear and equip a Wand. Later wands have int requirements over 200, so you can be pretty sure you're not hitting those requirements without extra +intelligence gear.

This method also gives you extra sockets for leveling gems in. Even if you can't use the item, you can still level the gems in its sockets.

This is a bug report thread.
Please acknowledge this is a very old bug. It needs to be fixed and any work around, hack, third party program, or delusion wont change this fact. I should be able to swap to Undarmed/Unhinder without needing anything but the swap button.

None of us work at GGG, GGG has not responded in this section for over a month now, and this change will disrupt players who don't want to accidentally weapon swap when they have no weapons in offhand like the chat message states.

Sure, they could potentially add an alternative setting that lets you weapon swap with no weapons in weapon swap if the setting is enabled, and assuming it's not limited by legacy code like DoT cap is, but with all of the other unfixed bugs in PoE 1 and PoE 2 EA in 1.5 months.. their staff is going to be quite busy with other stuff to work on a new implementation that will benefit maybe a dozen or so and potentially frustrate many more.

If you don't want to take our suggestion for insufficient attribute weapon, that's up to you. But we are speaking from experience that the workaround is going to be your best solution in this case until/if a better solution is created by GGG. We're happy to try to explain how that setup works further if you want help understanding it. Once it is set-up, it works exactly like you want where you just weapon swap freely.
