Need a friendly help to a beginner.
Dear POE friends,
I'm new to the game. Been playing for a week and am lvl 70 Necromancer atm. Been trying to apply a build but always keep disencouraged especially when Im teying to understand complex stuff I have no clue about. Many times I keep considering quitting as I feel alone and unable to progress my build. Is there some kind of discord server to help beginners? Or someone friendly enough to chat and explain on discord by voice? Much appreciated and have a good day everyone. :) Last bumped on Sep 27, 2024, 1:36:07 AM

Hey PurpleFlame!
I also try to make builds for fun and a lot of times It feels like reinventing the wheel, lol. It’s a science! My best advice is to find a mechanic you enjoy farming currency with the most, and feel out which ones of those you feel is the most rewarding. I’ve heard a lot of people say time and time again that Expedition and Ultimatum have been the best two, but I dislike both lol. As for your build, I suggest looking up your skill gem on https://poe.ninja/builds/settlers and just peek at what things other players are doing and see where you can follow. Note that everyone that shows up here is pretty much like Level 100 endgame, so take that as you will. The most important things for your early builds are probably going to be: -Getting decent maximum life -Capping your resistances -Leveling your skill gems (especially your 6-link) |

" Hi Blukerbeh, Thanks for responding. I am currently using Necromancer build from from GhazzyTV, is that still viable? My main problem is: I don't understand my skills. Some skills are complicated and I dont understand how they work. Even when reading the descrption. Videos don't explain too well. I always feel lost when trying to understand how my build works or the minions. Secondly Im afraid when I finish the acts I will be overwhelmed as I don't know what am I doing xD. Lots of questions that are not answered. I ll try not to get discouraged. Thanks for replying. |

First of all you dont have to understand everything. be patient, learn at your best pace. Pick one or two things and go with them. When youll have enought pick another one.
Also it is worth to learn about game mechanisms. IMHo one of the bes tutorials that there are are those: https://www.youtube.com/@EngineeringEternity/playlists Dont try to make everything, dont try to "finish" game. Try differnt build and see what youll learn. Last edited by de99ial#0161 on Sep 27, 2024, 1:36:18 AM
