You have miners on bismuth and crimson that have finished their job and currently working on Verusium while they wait for more of their respective ore types to be marked.

If you're trying to save Verusium ore for town upgrades, remove those workers or put them on one of the other ore types. Once the ore type is mined out the will go onto Verusium.

(Can also do this worker micromanagement at the smelting stage.
Unless you're in the habit of shipping unsmelted ores ?)

Yeah might be more important for smelting, mining process doesn't interfere with the upgrades, unless trying to save gold. Where as smelting ore to bar can.
