Campaign Done, Now What

Just finished the last act at 72,i'm 74 now and am losing interest, bored and not sure what to do.

I have ran a few merc labs, not sure what the point of those are other than trying to get my ice nova of frostbolts skill.

Did a few maps, those are pretty hard for me, i did a few white ones and completed them to zero mobs and killed last boss but didn't get any kind of reward or points to add to atlas.I tried a couple blue maps but i die really fast in there but i did get some scarabs. I guess you add those to one of the other squares with the map piece? Really confusing and again, i didn't see any reward.

Leveling has really slowed down, is getting to 100 a thing and is it possible to do in a season for a player a little more active than a casual?

Gear is still really confusing, adding sockets, linking, changing colors, i think i have a basic understanding but not 100% sure. I just keep collecting mats, wisdom scrolls and anything else that looks like it's worth keeping.

Potions are another confusing thing, i just keep what heals me the most and fastest, i see some have stats.

I have got some help on my build, but still seems a little sketchy on what I should be looking for.

What should my goal be, what should i be focusing on,do things change when i get to 100?

Here is my build if anyone sees anything i may have missed. Thanks again!

Edit: I have been trying to follow zizarans ice nova of frostbolts build.

You shouldn't plan on getting to 100. Especially not as a casual player.
Most builds are done by 95 or so and getting a few more points will not give you much power.
Also yeah, you don't get any atlas points for white maps. Tier 1-5 needs to be magic, 6-10 rare and 11-16 rare + corrupted to get the points.
Don't have the time to check your character now.
Well, if you were motivated by the story, then yeah, it's a lot more sparse in this last half of the game.

Otherwise, it's still the same game loop : getting better loot
(getting better item bases doesn't stop at campaign, they get cooler too, with more implicit modifiers !),
trying to improve your build,
trying to beat harder areas.

Except you also have a lot more freedom about the areas you want to do
(maybe you have a bit of paralysis of choice after the mostly railroaded campaign ?).

And the Atlas Skill tree opens up part of the customization of your mapping experience
(except of course you have to beat a few enhanced maps for those options to really open up).
This is what you should be focusing on.

Remember how currency can allow you to modify items ? This includes maps, for getting modifiers on them that your build can better deal with.

Labyrinths also allow you to increase the quality of your gems, among other things.

One reason why leveling has likely slowed down is because of the death experience penalty, you have to be mindful of that.

«Casual» is very relative and so pretty meaningless, so we have no idea what you mean. Most players never even made it to act 2, much less beat act 10 !

Once you're a bit more familiar with maps, you might want to look into configuring your item drop filter.

Some potions' affixes can really plug holes in your defenses !

Finally, if it's your first time beating the campaign, it might have taken you a while — maybe you're just bored with your build ?
Consider making a new character, thinking about what you think might be fun and/or using the rarest items you dropped so far.
A second character in the same league is typically much faster to level up.
(Especially, do not neglect movement speed increases from quicksilver flasks / boots with movement speed / helping the bandit Kraityn in act 2 / beelining movement speed nodes if you're on the Dextward side of the passives tree.)
i didn't even know there was a death experience penalty, guess that explains why i lost 2 bars of experience!
thanks for the help but i cannot even do a t3 regular map, can't get exp because i always die to the mobs. I thought my build was good but apparently somethings just off and i am tired of watching hours of youtube to try and figure out what's wrong.
I like the game but it just seems so bloated and easy to get off track...
Looking at your char in pob your baseline defenses for white maps arent bad but that doesnt mean you can facetank a million hits coming your way.

The biggest thing I see is you are barely at res cap. There are a lot of ways for enemies to lower your resists so overcapping by 25% is almost needed to not take massive damage spikes from exposure and curses.

Another big thing is your flask setup. You should only have one life flask. A quicksilver and other defensive flasks like a res flask or chaos res flask will help out a lot during general mapping until you get resists better sorted with gear. You can also make normal flasks magic with an orb of transmutation and then roll them with orbs of alteration and augmentation.

For the item stuff, it takes time to learn how to sort through stuff on the ground. If you are following a Ziz build I assume you have a filterblade filter setup but if not that will help a lot.

In general right now though look at your item slots that either dont have life and mana and resists or bad rolls of it. Pick up rares in those slots and ID them. If the stats suck you can throw it back on the ground or sell them to the vendor for alteration and alc shards.

That unique ring is killing him. Take it off and replace with a rare ring that focuses on life and res (plus some chaos res if possible) will go a long way.
True. He does have a dousing flask but then that ruins the entire point of the ring.

Life, mana, res ring would be much better.
You are nowhere near 100 if you are struggling in t1 maps. It's not even a great goal to have because reaching 100 isn't really a big part of the game. What you should be doing is trying to improve your build and interacting with all the different types of content of all the leagues that have been added to core. Then at some point once you character is stronger, trying to do some of the bosses.

If you are bored with the game at hitting maps I would suggest you take a break. Or if you liked playing the campaign but are not liking the challenge of post campaign, try levelling a new character or playing a different mode.

There is a lot of improvement to do on your build. You've done well to get as far as you have, but if you want it to go further you will need to improve everything. People will be happy to help, if you are wanting to improve it, but there is a lot to know in the game, so if your not interested in learning that there's not really a quick fix, other than what you seem to be doing, finding a build guide and following that closely.

Your in Settlers league. Have you been interacting with the league much? A lot of people found the town building to be a bit monotonous, but many liked it as well. So if you haven't interacted with it yet it might be something to try out. Or some of the other leagues, like delve, heist etc. you might find one you like.

With your flasks people don't tend to use 3 life flasks. In most builds you will get more value out of using a range of different flasks, like adding some utility flasks. You can put enchantments on the utility flasks so that the trigger under certain conditions and you don't have to press them all the time. Two life flasks might be okay if you are using them a lot, but you can certainly improve your current set up.

thanks everyone, like i said, i like the game, i like that it isn't super easy, i feel like when i get a win somewhere, i've earned it. Rough day progressing so I am going to look into town building as i haven't tried that yet and maybe learn more info as i go, but def taking a break from stressing over leveling
