Heist rogue fails to open demolition door

After activating the demolition icon on the door, either by pressing the league mechanic key or by clicking the icon, Huck moves toward the door but does not actually place a bomb.

When moving around the room, Huck moves backwards, as if backing away from a placed bomb.

The demolition icon eventually reappears, but the problem is not resolved.

Moving out of the room (so that Huck follows), killing enemies, and interacting with other demolition doors did not remove whatever obstacle was preventing the bomb from being placed correctly.

A previous instance of the same behaviour resolved itself after using the /bug command and taking a screenshot, but in the screenshotted instance I eventually exited the game as I was unable to progress.
