The portals are weird for bandit boss. Depending on which map device has the bandit boss determines where the portal spawns from my experience. I don't remember which ones which anymore, but at least one is behind Isla and at least one is the converted mapper portals into 6 usable portal (but still only one attempt). I think the third one is also 6 portal.
