Stormbind of teleportation isnt affected by increased damage with movement skills stat

EDIT: Not a bug, just complex mechanics

Tested with Bronn's Lithe chest. The chest provides +5 levels to movement gems and up to %100 increased damage with movement skills, which are supposed to be synergizing.

Stormbind of teleportation benefits from the +5gems damage boost, but the tooltip isnt affected by the #% increased damage with movement skills on the chest.

Stormbind of Teleportation does have a movement tag unlike the base gem.

OP, have you tested any other movement skills to see if their DPS is changed by Bronn's? Given the reputation of tooltip DPS, wouldn't be surprised if that one specific stat just doesn't work for tooltip. Tried poking around and could only find one other item with that stat, Wildslash Awl, if you want to test with it too. Does equipping it change the DPS or not. If not, just a broken tooltip stat among many others.

Did you watch the imgur link? I'm not familiar with Stormbind, but they only hovered "Stormbind of Teleportation" (not Rune Blast of Teleportation) in 3 different situations:

1. Equipped, no Bronn's: No damage increase - Expected
2. Equipped, Bronn's Equipped, not in Bronn's: No % damage increase - Not expected
3. Equipped in Bronn's with no other supports: Increase in damage - Expected +5 change from Bronn's.

So the post is only questioning the % damage on Bronn's. +5 appears to be working normally to me. Movement tag of Stormbind of TP appears to be functionally normally if by socketing Stormbind of TP from boots to already equipped chest causes a damage increase.

If there is more to Stormbind split skill, then I am not understanding what you're referring to.

In typical PoE fashion, about as clear as mud to me why they would split it that way.

Alright, I think I understand the issue. Gem tags do not necessarily apply 1-1 to skills or damaging portions of skills. A kinda similar example may be ball lightning not being affected by proj damage, casue the zaps from the ball aren't projectiles (at least thats how I remember). I'd wish for better in game explanation of this ideally but its hard to, and it is for sure not the first time im bamboozled by this game.

PoB does not reflect the damage increase either. Although its not official tooling I guess I should have realized this before commiting to a meme character. +5 will still carry hard though.

I also did more testing, and indeed the teleportation effect belongs only to rune blast of teleportation, details:
TLDR. Damage is done by runes. Runes arent movement skill. Teleportation is done by runeblast. Its not a damaging skill. Gem modifiers can match with both cases but skill/damage modifiers do not.
