Don't fall for the "Cowl of the Thermophile Scam"!
Ok ok, it's not a real scam because in POE you can't scam so it's more like an exploit-the-newbie thing. Today I visited a friend of mine and when I entered his room he was selling a Cowl of the Thermophile for 9 Chaos Orbs. He already confirmed the deal before I could do anything. After talking to him I figured out that he listed the Cowl for 9 Chaos Orbs because dozens of other Cowls were listed for 10 Chaos Orbs. In case you wonder what he did wrong you are about to fall for it too!
People list things VERY CHEAP (and they never sell them for that price) just to make newbies sell their items ridiculously cheap. POE Ninja shows a current price of 5 Divine Orbs and I sold a few Cowls for that price already. So please: 1.) Don't sell your Cowls for a few Chaos. and more important: 2.) Dont think this is a Cowl of the Thermophile only thing. This happens to MANY items. If you have no idea what your item is actually worth go check POE ninja. It's not 100% accurate but it is a billion times better than just checking the trade website!
