Poison Venom Gyre Assassin

I've been playing for a while now since start of the league, been experimenting with diff meta builds like exsang miner and vls trickster. I've become interested in making a poison venom gyre assassin and made a pob to follow, but I feel like the damage isn't as good with the same investment as the other builds I've tried, placed points to the poison nodes for the assassin ascendancy and perfect agony, tried charge stacking with olesya's delight with milagro's cruelty as well, maybe the build really isn't viable to bring to endgame?

Anyone who tried venom gyre with assassin? I'll share the pob later today as I'm out right now.

Assassin nowadays is bad at everything. It is always the worse choice. It is basically the "new" gladiator. Bottom of the barrel across all ascendancies

For venom gyre, if we look to PoE Ninja as a guide, deadeye is the clear favorite.

Assassin has two things going for it: crit and poison. And yet......other ascendancies do both better while also offering more defensive options at the same time.

That's quite unfortunate, I had my hopes up cuz I saw nodes that dip into crit and poison and i was thinking it could work, I'll try to rebuild my pob using deadeye ranger instead then, or until assassin gets a buff or rework, maybe poe2 will do assassin some justice
