I don't understand what makes NEITHER my Trickster ES leech/ES leech support gem, or ES gained per enemy hit while affected by Discipline from Watcher's Eye not function at all in this map?

(And yes, Discipline is turned ON, I have aura buff UI icons hidden)

No matter what groups of monsters I attacked, instantly killing 20-50 monsters without them touching me, my ES did not a single time go up. The only relevant negative mod on the map is "Cannot regenerate life, mana or ES" which from my limited understanding should not affect neither Leech nor ES gained per enemy hit.

Someone please help me understand this, it's not the first time I experience Leech and the Watcher's Eye Discipline mod doing absolutely nothing.

EDIT: Not a bug, just Ghost Dance and flat evasion reduction from altar.

and this does... what exactly to negate gain on hit and/or leech?

oh yeah I see it does the -3000 on the base evasion, very interesting and also stupid mechanic! Why can't it be a % reduction :( No bug then, just lack of understanding. Thank you so much for your time seaman, you are amazing.

Looking at your character in PoB, even with the reduced aura effect on the map (lowering the effect of Grace), just -3000 wouldn't be enough to cause this issue. However, if you have the Atlas keystone passive Wrath of the Cosmos allocated, Exarch Altars can have 2 upsides in exchange for twice the effect of the downside.

PoB doesn't show the full effect of -6000 evasion as a custom modifier, but this would be enough to drop your evasion in that map down to 5532. When entering the map you can have full ES, but Ghost Dance would prevent anything from increasing your current ES above 5532 without leaving the map.
