Best build for Ci trickster?

i'm leveling a trickster now but not sure which build would be the best. i'm tossing up between these 3 builds but never played any of them before. lightning strike, splitting steel, flicker strike. they all use the same weapon and stack ES. tree is very similar also. i have about 150 divs to spend. which would be the best choice for both mapping and bossing?

edit- i wont be able to afford things like nimis and MB but from what i gathered its not mandatory

I absolutely LOVE flicker CI. And it can succeed and thrive quite cheaply.

The ONE issue is single target and the occasional loss of frenzy charges, slowing you down to a crawl. But hey....that's flicker strike!

I don't like to run frenzy of onslaught (the solution) for those occasions so that's on me I guess lol.

Splitting Steel is strong but...idk. It just feels gross to me. LS is going to require nimis pretty quickly, but its likely the best overall skill to build in terms of damage, feel, and clear.

i was leaning towards flicker because i can just hold down right click instead of constantly pressing a button like i would need to do for the LS but loss of frenzy charges sounds like too much of an inconvenience. does it happen often or just for bosses?

Doesn't happen often at all. And again...you can run Frenzy of Onslaught to quickly get back to max against a boss, I just personally don't because a little extra time doesn't bother me. Even against bosses, its relatively rare. With a good build you have a REALLY high chance to gain frenzy charges on hit, and 100% on kill. So if there is literally any other enemy nearby, you are back to pretty much full charges. Couple the "on hit" gain with +3 hits from awakened multi, and the chance of NOT gaining a frenzy charge is low. There...but low.

But definitely avoid "Monsters steal charges" like the plague. Feels AWFUL. Not impossible to clear, but get trapped by one hit and its almost like being stun-locked cuz they keep stealing your gained charges.

Also....Maven fight with flicker is a pain in the goddamn ass, if you don't place the gravity wells near the edges.


You will NEVER be down from max charges while mapping. They last like 25 seconds which is more than enough time to get to the next pack and reset the count. And with targeting additional enemies, multistrike, and splash damage, you are always gaining more than you lose.

If you have enough currency for awakened multistrike, that should be your first awakened gem. Makes a HUGE difference getting that extra attack in there. Especially in those rare cases where you are short on frenzy's

alright i decided on flicker. found a guide for it here as well so gonna look through it a bit. awakened multi is waaaay out of my budget but hopefully the build will be fine without it
