Intimidating Cry not exerting Glacial Hammer

I'm working on a Glacial Hammer build and was trying the Autoexert gem for Ancestral and Intimidation Crys. When noticing that Overexertion didn't work at all, I pulled Intimidation Cry out and tried to manually cast it.
The Intimidation Cry counter did go down with Leap Slam, but not with Glacial Hammer (Ancestral did work). They are both melee attacks, so this is a bug.

Overexertion didn't seem to work with either skill, regardless is the exertion was from auto or manual cast (at least the numbers in C didn't go up). Also feels like a bug.
Glacial Hammer was exerted by Ancestral Cry, so i should at least see 1 increase.

If you hold Alt over a Warcry skill gem that can exert attacks, it will display an explanation line for Exerted attacks that states the types of attacks that cannot be exerted.

Attacks which repeat cannot be exerted. Multistrike makes your Glacial Hammer skill repeat.
