Finally made it to 100 (thanks Faustus)

After almost 11 years of constant, mostly "casual" play, I finally grinded enough to get a character to level 100. I did it with my variation of the max-block Lacerate of Haemorrhage Gladiator build. I bought gear from the market, but I did all of the content solo.



I mostly ran Alva/Incursion, since I actually enjoy the mechanic and it doesn't blow up my computer like Delerium and Breach do. Making useful temples is easy and safe and while not super-lucrative, provides decent constant income. Decent enough to where I could buy a Headhunter at around level 92 (for about 40 divines) to spice up the grind. The maps were all pretty much T16 Alch Bind-and-go, since the char could do almost every mod without too much worry. At level 98 I dropped a Mageblood in a Mesa, and I made some small adjustments to my char to accommodate it. Sold the HH for 24 divines for quite the loss, but at that point I didn't care. From there it was just-dont-die until 100.

I know the char I have is sub-optimal in many ways, but I like the play style.

It took me about 230 hours, but probably 15-20% of that was idle time in the hideout or Kingsmarch. That averages out to about 4 hours per day since league launch, with maybe 3.5 hours per day of actual active play. Most of that on the weekends, since I'm a casual dad with a job and kids, yadda yadda.



Special shout out to the Currency Trade Market, without which I probably wouldn't have done it. If it doesn't go core, I'll probably just call it a day and wait for POE2. No way I'm going back to the way it was. This should have been added to the game years ago, and I hope it's expanded to include more items in the future.
