400% drop of performance in Surrounding in Window mode.

My system is 44 core Xeon, 128 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti / 10 GB / 4 x 2TB m2 / 3 x 12 TB HDD, 3 x 50" Philips displays full hd.
The same results i have with another graphical workstation with a bit lower specs : 32 core Xeon, 64 GB RAM, GTX 1080 / 8 GB / 3 x 1 TB SSD / 1 x 16 TB HDD, 3 x LG Full HD. Both is in Surrounding setup merged as a single display with resolution 5760 x 1080. The game I am playing in Window mode so I can work on projects meanwhile. The game always initialize in the leftmost monitor which #2 screen under Surrounding, while I wish to play it on the central monitor which is #1 screen. When I drag it and drop it from screen #2 to screen #1 the game start to stutter and I see the framerates goes from between 150 fps top, 50 fps bottom, downto 50 fps top, 3 fps bottom , and freezing for a second or so any kind of movement. This occures on any kind of settings, or DirectX.. anything. It ocures only the 1st time when I start the game. ( this is the important part ). If I close it and start it right after - the issue is not there, but it may randomly present itself if I close it and start the game again. ( but this is on random basics ). I was silenced for telling the name of USA president for 40 days. I was silenced for stating "I am Jesus" for 5 days. Maybe it is time the deeds of the moderators to become public, so peoples understand that they hired a cheap mods which enforcing their "woke" agenda on players. For the fps problem, you could try changing the monitor in the game settings: Options > Graphics > Display Settings > Display.
About the monitor, there is a configuration file to configure which monitor is chosen on startup. Typical path: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile\production_Config.ini This line describe which monitor will be chosen: adapter_name=XXXXXXXX-XXXXXXXX-XX If it isn't the wanted monitor, start the game, change the monitor in the settings (do not drag the window on the monitor), save, close the game. The above line should now contain the name of the monitor. It should not change at this point, but if it is the case later, now you have the correct name and you can setup whatever you feel necessary to force the settings. |
