There are three passives in the range of that jewel socket that grant Dexterity.
Two grant 5 Dexterity each, one grants 10 Dexterity. You path to the jewel socket through the small passive granting 10 Dexterity. Placing Unnatural Instinct into the socket grants you the 10 Dexterity from the passives at the center of the tree granting 5 Dexterity each, and takes away the 10 Dexterity from the passive that you pathed through (allocated small passives in radius grant nothing), for a net change of 0.
