Eternal Labyrinth of Opportunity can't get golden key

I may be missing something, this is my first time using a Gift of the Goddess. Got to the Basilica Annex, used the three switched in the room with the golden key, but the door to the golden key did not open. Thought maybe it was an issue with the instance, left and used a new Gift and have the same issue. I may have just wasted 2 Gifts because I don't understand how it's supposed to work, but I figured the door should've opened after using the switches. Before screenshot is from my second run, took a screenshot before using the switches just to show where they are and how the minimap looks.
