Ambush Scarab farming insane level of monsters not in boxes
So I have been running Ambush farming for at least a week or more with typical atlas and one of each 6 distinct Ambush scarabs on my map device as well as the map device craft. Typically with a deli orb and the altars you get some monsters on the map which is normal aside the strong boxes, I encountered a map that for some reason had insane levels of monsters, felt like 30 monsters per square foot in the map. I have been running sanctuary maps rolled for scarabs and currency over 150%. I haven't encountered this before it felt like I wasn't running ambush and all the monsters on the map were 5x normal levels but it still had every strong box. The level of monsters in each area was like if you had 5 strongboxes in an area that opened 3 times each min then you had a revives nearby monsters revive them all 5 times in a row. I honestly have zero idea if what happened can be replicated but if so the levels of item drops and loot is more than 4x what a normal map would drop. I also got nearly 500k gold from that map when normally you get about 160k on the good ones. I unfortunately forgot to record with my shadowplay until after I realized I should say something in case it can be replicated. The amount of monsters reminds me of the bug we had a few leagues ago with the research safehouse but this was honestly even greater mob density.
I only ran like 3 or 4 maps today, the one before my last that took me 42 mins to clear and loot is the instance in question. There wasn't anything on the map I rolled that seemed different from any other I have rolled for farming as I've already done this strat over 150-250 times prolly. Maybe it was a random designed thing but I figured I would make this post just in case because I have never seen a map that dense before even in the previous most juicy mechanics players would do with stacking mechanics and deli Last bumped on Sep 10, 2024, 4:18:25 PM

Has been around since last league with the introduction of a new atlas passive. Has been also been reported many times as well, no change yet. My best guess is one of the new monsters refuses to go into a box so you end up with duplicate mobs from some kind of overflow.. but since you can't consistently guarantee that mob will spawn, it's still a bit of RNG whether or not it happens.
