Anyone knows if Witch and Sorceress are using the same 3D Character model in POE 2?

How are these classes working exactly?

Any idea if the animation and character models are the same or entirely different models / people?

At first glance it seems its the same 3D character model but "classes" are like ascendancy?

They are not the same model when GGG uses a new model rig, new textures and more polygons.

If PoE 2 has no CWDT builds, I will quit for good.
If I recall the paired classes are meant to be the same person that chose two radically different paths in life.

So the Witch and the sorceress are.. technically the same person.

they should at least be similar if they are not the same.

But a big thing GGG wanted from their rigging updates was to make it easier to make and apply animations on a variety of models
Every humanoid character in PoE2 uses the same animation rig.

An animation rig is not the same as a model, nor is it the same as a specific character. I have no idea if the Witch or Sorceress share a model, though it seems more likely than not.

Do you remember where you saw this, by chance? It's a really fascinating tidbit I haven't seen anywhere else that at least explains a few of Grinding Gears more annoying/frustrating/unfun decisions. Doesn't excuse those decisions, but it might at least shed a bit of extra light on them. Would also explain why some of the paired classes are so fuzzy and undefined in their split, like the Ranger/Huntress or Warrior/Marauder being barely two different classes on the thinnest of technicalities.
