Possibly Inconsistent interactions with Summon Skeletons of Mages 'Prismatic' tag

Summon Skeletons of Mages is currently the only spell skill gem with the 'Prismatic' tag, but how that works with various mods might be inconsistent.

Currently you can trigger it with Mjolnir, Svalinn, or the Settler's 1H axe "Trigger a socketed fire spell on hit" mod. At first I just thought this was a property of the 'Prismatic' tag, until I realized that Int Shield "+1 to all Fire/Cold/Lightning Spell Skill Gems" mods, as well as things like Replica Cold Iron Point, don't scale the level of the Skeletons.

So is "Summon Skeletons of Mages" considered a lightning skill for the sake of Mjolnir, but not considered a lightning skill gem for the sake of a "+1 to all Lightning Spell Skill Gems" mod? Should both apply? Should neither?

Interesting, what about +X to Level of Socketed Fire/Cold/Lightning Gems?

Prismatic tag doesn't include Fire, Cold and Lightning tags, otherwise prismatic gems wouldn't be additionally tagged with these three. So Mjolnir, Svalinn, etc shouldn't trigger skele mages. Maybe they mistakenly look at internal tags of the skeletons' spells instead.

On a related note I don't understand why GGG still haven't added an Elemental tag. Yes, there were only few proper skills for it at the beginning. Like Discharge, Elemental Proliferation, Elemental Hit, and... Elemental Weakness? Can you imagine, a hex which cuts all elemental resistances is not an elemental skill while its single-element counterparts are (because they have a Fire/Cold/Lightning tag). I find this very unfair.

But over the years a bunch of three-element gems were added, and you can notice how they are overwhelmed with tags (especially prismatic ones). Replacing three tags with one would unload the tag list. I don't think Elemental tag will be confusing, the word is widely used in the game, "elemental damage", elemental resistances' and even in the context of tags "#% increased Critical Strike Chance with Elemental Skills", "+# to Level of Socketed Elemental Gems", etc.

Tested it by myself. Both

and

don't give + levels to socketed skele mages.

I forgot about another veteran candidate for hypothetical "Elemantal" tag – Purity of Elements (also amusingly has neither of the elemental tags).
Sorry, I only just remembered that reply and tested it with Realmbreaker as well to confirm no +levels.

One observation is that both the Axe enchant and Mjolnir have been summoning all three skeleton mage types on hit. Ie, Mjolnir is triggering the cold and fire skeleton mages to summon as well as the lightning skeleton mages.

The lack of scaling from +cold/fire/lightning skill gem mod sources (while still proccing with "Trigger a X skill" elem mods) could be explained if the skill gem has none of the elemental tags, but three hidden abilities (one associated with the fire skeleton mage, one with lightning, and one with cold). But if that were the case I'd expect intended behaviour to be that Mjolnir only summons the Lightning Skeleton Mage, the Fire Enchant only summons the Fire ones, and Cospri's to only summon the cold ones? Unless the behavour of "Trigger a socketed spell" type mods is "Ok I guess you count, fire off the whole skill gem".

I'm not sure what "Working as intended" should be regarding all of this, but I'm not sure the current implementation is consistent with how all these mechanics should interact - if they should even at all.

Still, I can scale my skeleton's just with +to all minion skill gems instead, so it's not a massive problem or anything.
