Help me improve my Ice Nova build

Help me improve my build. It's pretty good at dps, but I have a hard time completing T17 and uber bosses. I've only completed them a few times out of many attempts. I can't complete some T17 and uber boss maps. My character dies really fast, and sometimes I don't understand why. For uber bosses, I swap the flask for a flask for resistances on the boss's main elemental damage and chaos resistances. What should I change and improve to complete uber content or at least more or less calmly complete T17?

Your problem is mostly just that you are very squishy, my character has vastly less in the way of investment and has about 2x as much life and a bit more es and runs into survivability issues doing juiced t16s and t17s.

I think the issue is mostly that you are way too heavy on uniques. Ralakesh + badge is an enormous amount of bonus damage, especially with dominus militant but its also two missing life rolls and similarly cloak of defiance saves skill points because you don't need another open keystone for the militant faith but it doesn't give much in the way of life and with hiero every point of life is 2x as effective for tanking up if you have either enough mana recovery or a good enough flask.

Furthermore your tree is optimized for producing as much mana as possible and getting to places pretty far apart but in doing so you skipped a lot of really good nodes near templar and witch start, the tireless and sanctuary wheels are a ton of survivability and some cost reduction, the arcanist's dominion and heart and soul nodes are a bunch of mana and life with some es and cast speed thrown in.

You have a stormshroud but no shock evasion so its basically a wasted jewel, either get shock avoid on your gear or swap it to something else. Replica reckless without ailment immunity is a really bad idea and may well be what keeps getting you randomly killed.

I'd recommend at bare minimum getting shock evade for stormshroud or ditching stormshroud and replica reckless for other jewels and probably swapping out either the cloak or ralakesh + badge for rares with decent life and mana rolls.

You have 2k HP and 2k ES.

You seem to be missing ailment immunity, stun immunity, and corrupted blood immunity

I also don't see any reduced effect of crit hit damage or curses

I'm not an expert on this build, but it looks like you are trying to run a 30d build on a 15d budget. Not saying those are the prices of anything, just that your gear seems pretty lacking in some areas that would ve very important for this build to be able to handle t17.


I would suggest dialing back the DPS and picking up some of the defensive layers mentioned above. While you work on gear/saving, take a look at some other POBs and considered respecing some points.


Your passive tree pathing is also is not optimized, one of the main reasons to run the cloak you have on is to avoid having to path to the Mind Over Matter Notable.
