Help me understand something - RF build

So i do RF build by Pohx (off cozz). And my max fire res is 89% (i lack one point from jewel - work in progress).

But my lightnig res is 88%

What i am missing?

You are simply missing more res.

Lightning isnt capped at 88%, you just dont have enough to push it further.

but he plays chieftain... if he has 89 fire then cold and lightning should be the same.

What is you total lightning res currently? If it is not over capped you might only have 88, and not be reaching your max of 89.

(Yeah same thing orbaal is saying, if you have the same number in brackets after the value on the character sheet, that is the total current res you have and may not be reaching your max.)

It's the same for max res, but the values for amount of res can still be different if not reaching the max.

Chieftain sets all MAX resists to the same limit, but it does not make the resistances themselves equal. You still need to have enough of the other resists to actually hit the new max value.

Half hour later i noticed that :|

To all - at that point my 88% Lightning res was ALL lightning res i had.
