Path of Exile 2 Client Question

My question is, will PoE2 have a downloadable standalone client like PoE1? The reason I ask is because PoE1 is the only game I'm able to play on my work laptop, due to the fact that it doesn't need to be installed and the directory can just be copied over. Will PoE2 have this same thing? Please someone say yes! That would be excellent for us with limited installing capabilities

Nothing has been confirmed by GGG yet. I would expect there to be a downloadable client though, as if there wasn't, that would mean that everyone would have to play via Steam, and I can't see that happening.

As to whether the directory can be copied over, that I do not know.

We dont even know if steam will be mandatory for early access.
