Flicker Strike Build Question

Can anyone explain how the Paradoxica helps this build - it has 100pDPS and that's it?

Paradoxica get its added damage from other sources than the base weapon damage, but uses the unveiled mods to multiply that. So for example one of the mods on this paradoxica double your damage, which is going to be very strong if you can add damage from somewhere to make up for the fact that your weapon doesn't have much damage.

So on this build, one of the sources is their ring, which adds a bunch of cold damage and is mirrored by their Kalandra ring. Flat damage can also sometime be on the skill gems. In this case they are also linked with a high level icebite on the helmet, which also gives base cold damage per frenzy charge. So basically they are getting their flat cold damage from stacking frenzy charges.

Ah I see, that is a ton of damage per frenzy charge.

Do you think I can make this build work without all those ridiculously expensive items? like decent damage?

I have no idea, but I wouldn't think so, looks like an expensive build. You could make it, its just not going to work like that one without the equipment. If you don't have that ring or helmet or correct paradoxica or a bunch of the other stuff, it will do no damage. If you do want to play a paradoxica build, there might be a more budget friendly version.

I think I can get a couple million deeps even without those expensive items. Like the tree has half of the frenzy charges I need, can get maybe two pieces of gear if I'm lucky with +2 total maximum frenzy charges.

This is the kind of build that may not function if you have one of the items wrong. Sometimes it seems like you need the build to only be 1% as good as that build, but all the things are multiplying together. So even one piece missing the build might be 90% worse already. Not saying it is impossible, but if you have a low budget and don't understand the build well it will probably be tough.

For example, that helmet is 250d+. There is one listed for 2d but the guy wants 250d, trust me I pinged him (actually only check for high lvl ice bite, it might be much higher with ruthless). Guessing the ring would be worth much more than that.

Have a look and see if you can find a build guide for flickerstrike paradoxica. It might might tell you if there is budget option you can run that works instead of these items.
