Issue with unique flasks

If I have unique stash tab affinities and Flask tab affinities checked Unique flaskes always get sorted in the flask tab and not under unique flasks in the unique stash tab. Not sure if this is by design.

yes, this is by design as there is a flask stash tab as well where all your flask go. Even unique flasks go there. The priority is set on flask tab.

I can confirm as well, this is intended behavior.

Whenever an item can go into 2 or more tabs by Affinity, there is a specific prioritization that goes on.

I've never seen a published list, but the general rule seems to be that items try to go into the most specific affinity first, before falling back on others if that specific affinity is not set on any tabs.

In the flask example, Unique affinity applies to many different types of items, but Flask affinity only applies to one, so Flask is more spefic. Thus, they go to the Flask affinity tab. However, if you don't set Flask affinity anywhere, your unique flasks will go into the tab you have Unique affinity set on.

You can override affinity and put something in a specific tab by holding down an extra button (IIRC it's L3? I do it by muscle memory and am not in front of the game at the moment). That puts the item into the currently active tab, if it can, regardless of affinities.

I would love for them to implement an Affinity Priority Order where we could set multiple tabs with the same affinity, and tell it what order to do them in, but that might be a bit much, even for PoE. This would not only allow having, for exmple, 2 map tabs, it would also allow setting the priority order globally, so you could have your unique flasks go into your unique tab(s) first, if you prefer that.

But it's possible that this would go too far toward automation. It does actually make the game worse if everything is fully automatic. It's just difficult to draw that line, and also very difficult to take away any automation once you add it. I'm sure they're cautious about that.
