Cyclone Volatile Dead Necromancer. I am not smart enough to understand this

i am trying to copy a Cyclone Volatile Dead Necromancer build but i dont understand these gems on Martyr of innocence. These support gems are not compatible with Herold of Ash or Battlemages cry. So why are these in there? Thank you for any help... i am totally lost.

You probably following an old guide. Martyr of Innocence got changed in 3.25 and they added the battlecry support to it.

You are using the staff simply for the flat fire damage it has and the battlemage node on it. Tho older build guides might be now confusing since they also added battlemage cry to it :(
