SSF Scarabs feedback and unwavering vision suggestion

So I played through this league on SSF up to basic pinnacle bosses (shaper, elder, eater, exarch), and it was a blast...
Until I started trying to scarab-juice t16s to get some good rewards from them while farming my next level of gear. There's a couple things to unpack here.

1: Scarabs have so many different ways that you want to combine them with each other and the atlas tree that they require a LOT of micromanagement. Some stack nicely with the passive tree (adds breaches, abysses, harbingers etc), others don't (contains an expedition, blight, jun). So I have to carefully arrange common scarabs to get good rewards from them while I'm setting up combos with rarer scarabs.
And I have to rearrange these setups every 5-10 maps because I run out of scarabs, when I can't just trade for more.

Careful setup of something is fine if I have to do it ONCE like when making a tree or a build. Not when I need to do it every few maps just to keep rewards going.

2: Good scarab combinations can make the map much, much harder than basic atlas tree juice. Which sure, that's fine. Some combinations can be harder and more rewarding than others. I could run some easier combinations...
Until I run out of those scarabs and the hard combos are the only ones left that I can reasonably run, and I don't yet have the gear yet to handle them. It's a really big difficulty wall.

I could cycle through the easier combinations but then we're back to issue #1. Until I've played enough to build big stacks of scarabs (and that takes a good while), its a micromanagement hellhole.

A low-maintenance solution would simply be to run maps without scarabs, but that just feels awful throwing away that potential.
This is where unwavering vision enters the discussion. This lets us get some better rewards from that low-maintenance mapping, except for one problem...
It prevents scarab drops, which hamstrings you from being able to juice maps down the line, and scarabs are so powerful that unwavering vision becomes extremely poor as a result.
My suggestion is to allow scarabs to drop while unwavering vision is allocated, but still prevent them from being used. This would help players farming lower-juice t16s to get the gear they need for heavily juiced t16s, while building their scarab pools up so that they can start rotating scarabs only every 20-30 maps when the time comes, instead of every 3-8. So it would do something to address the difficulty wall and the scarab micromanagement problems I currently have. Besides, unwavering vision needs some love with how weak it is compared to scarabs currently.

These are mostly SSF issues, but I think SSF can highlight a lot of weird game issues that trade normally allows people to gloss over, so it'd be nice to see this addressed.
That, and unwavering vision sucks in both modes right now.
