Scarab of tradition does not transform drops with reward modifiers
the text on this scarab says "all rare and unique monsters in area have dropped items transformed by a reward modifier"
it happens maybe 10% of the time and even then the loot is not fully converted and is partially dropped as normal loot. maybe the text could be updated to reflect the actual effect the scarab has, or maybe the effect could match the text? Last bumped on Sep 25, 2024, 12:29:08 PM

I tested a handful today and the reward modifier is very vague in what it actually does. It seemed to randomly adjust the gear with either corrupt, fracture, possibly max link, and idk what else. I got way more fractures running it, but it's inconsistent with every other "reward" modifier description. Even the atlas passive Rogue Trader gives them "additional rewards" which gives them actually different rewards as opposed to Tradition just modifying the gear.
Still very strong when used correctly. Just not what's expected. |

More fractures, corrupted items, etc. is what would be expected as per https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/List_of_monster_reward_mods
Tested this scarab today and it does so little. I agree with OP that it doesn't seem to be converting on every mob, and when it does it only seems to be doing partial conversions |

I also realized that there must be something wrong.
I would guess the Settlers Conversion "disables" the other Conversions. You can also see this when you try "Scarabs of Divinity". This gives monsters a pantheon touch. (https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Scarab_of_Divinity#Mechanics) Which should give a conversion. For example: Innocence-touched Dropped items are converted to scarabs based on Rarity But when you encounter these touched mobs... (See the Modifier and see the apparations) No Conversion seems to happen. Guess GGG is busy with PoE2... the conversions if would work, would be a fun thing for some fresh strategys. |

" After rework of lootgoblins, the rewards are not associated with a specific mod. |
