A minute to kill white monster pack? Having to dodge white monster pack attacks and mini boss attacks?
This game will drop to 2k players really soon. You may want to see a Grim Dawn, with same slow gameplay, and it's amount of players. Well, you can see how many people play Ruthless in PoE1.. Almost no one. It's really weird decision to kill PoE1 with its unique fast gameplay and ability to scale characters almost indefinitely for that... PoE2 have like zero replayability with that gameplay. A game to complete it one time and uninstall, unlike PoE1, which you can play 1-2 months each league. GGG said that the gameplay for PoE2 until the endgame will be slower compared to PoE1, but not as slow as shown in the gameplay on exilecon, that's only to showcase stuff. You will still be able to make your zoomer builds.
And no, ppl don't play "Ruthless" because it's too slow, they don't play it because it's literally ruthless. It's only a project Chris himself shared with us, not the direction they want to go with everything. Should PoE2 be too "slow" for you, when you actually played it, there is nothing holding you back from playing PoE1, they don't stop developing the game. |

" To be fair, "zoomer" builds are going to be way different in POE2. Especially since they've said POE2 has no movement skills other than your dodge roll. Also since it seems like max damage comes from combos, it probably feels more like a pack-to-pack rush. I honestly think POE2 will be fundamentally different to POE1. POE1 was based off D2. POE2 seems to get most of it's inspiration from Elden Ring. On the bright side, POE1 isn't going anywhere so if you don't like POE2... you could always come back home. :) | |

I guess I'll stay in poe 1. Sure I will try poe 2 once but if it really is that slow it is not for me.
