Initial reaction was a bit knee-jerk... but ultimately
I still don't care for this league mechanic after all. I'd rather just do away with the "town" and somehow incorporate "passive loot" into the actual action of doing maps or other content. Feels FOMO inducing when not enough gold is being acquired doing the content I'd like to do and then I can hardly participate in the current league. Not to mention the constant interruption of going back to the town when a ship comes in or the damn mappers die. All very micro management nonsense to me. I want action... I mean if this is supposed to be an ARPG I say yet again... why implement things that take away from that?
Something just not right about my only divines so far coming from ship missions. Doesn't feel the same as seeing such things drop while doing content myself. But I guess that is the state of games in the modern era. More about getting people addicted to gambling than anything else.
