Essence Scarab of Calcification doesn't work on certain monsters

Essence Scarab of Calcification does not imprison at least following monsters types (potentially more but sometimes I wasn't able to determine the mob type): Devourers, Rakango (Kaom's burrowing thing with separate tail entity), Kitava Heralds. Every time one of these is rolled, you lose multiple essences in your map because they won't be imprisoned by the scarab.
There is another essence bug with Einhar's beasts where they do not follow rules of atlas tree nodes or scarabs to have at least one highest tier essence sometimes, and in general often having just weeping or wailing ones, but I don't really expect it to get a fix any time soon:) Failing Calcification is something I haven't noticed in previous league though.

UPD: Seems to also not work on Host Chieftains (one that have parasite monster on it), while Carnage Chieftains (no parasite) gets imprisoned just fine.
Tukohama Vanguard (can summon scorching ray totems) is unaffected by Calcification too i think. Was unsure whether its a Vanguard ot Warrior, but then i saw essenced warriors.
Shambling Cadaver (a zombie that unburrow themself when they see you) is unaffected by Calcification.
Infested Tunnelfiend (small ursa thing) is unaffected by Calcification.
Undying Outcast and/or Undying Impaler (not sure if its one of them or both) are unaffected by Calcification.
Seething Brine (this and most of the updated list is assumed by the name of minion monsters next to the rare) is not Calcificated.
