Divination cards no longer drop.
Like many other players, I was excited to hear that you could now Scry the apothecary from defiled catherdral. And with this information on hand this is exactly what I focused on doing in my first 2 weeks of the league.
But there came a problem, after talking it out with the Nameless Seer and scryin' the divination drop pool from Defiled Cathedral to Strand, he must've cursed me at the same time, because I cannot drop or see any divination cards. And I'm not talking about just running strand a couple of times, I've been extensively testing this with my guild, all of my guildmates have the same strategy, the same scarabs and atlas tree. Yet I'm the only one that does not seem to get any divination cards in drop, other maps work fine, but strand gives me nothing (I've run over 200 strand maps so far, not 1 apothecary and not one other divination card has dropped.) Please GGG, hear my cry for help. (I feel like I'm slowly losing my mind) Last bumped on Oct 22, 2024, 1:01:50 AM

"You expect to find one Apothecary for every 200 Strand maps? That's like 4 hours of farming for some players. Here's some data from https://mapsofexile.com/

" That 1 in 1536 is alc & go with no scarabs based on 3.24 data. I agree with the OP, this has been drastically nerfed. If you ever watched Snowbae streams, or even Fubgun, they have 1 every 150 or so maps. When you use 8-Mod maps + Scarabs the drop rate was historically waaaaaaaaay better than 1 in 1536. Same issue as the OP. Div cards (the "4" native ones found in map) are nerfed heavily. That said, based on my time in this league, Eater Altar drops for div cards seem unchanged. I was able to get some high value cards from the Altars. The native map cards don't seem to drop. I ran Crystal Lore 600+ maps, never got the friendship card. No way that card is anywhere near as rare as Apoth. |

" 200 hundred maps doesn't seem much for apothecary, i'm in agreement with that. Are the other cards on you loot filter? They look pretty bad. I'm assuming if you are doing this level of farming you probably wouldn't want them on your filter. Chin sol for sure below 1c, the other 2 are also probably worth about 1c and would likely not be on a strict loot filter. |

" Highlight: Unknown Weight Maybe you should test with a more common card, like The Fortunate. I'm 100% sure I'm getting more of these in Dry Sea/Mesa then in Jungle Valley, regardless of altars. Last edited by 6_din_49#4066 on Aug 20, 2024, 4:43:43 AM

I scryied Defiled Cathedral to Dunes/Plateau/Jungle and did over 1500 Maps
All 100+ Quantity maps (most 8-mod), with %60 delirium on average (3 deli orb) Used many different scarabs (elder influenced for pack, 40% magic pack + 3 others, keep changing), my atlas is also juicing maps a lot (48% effect of modifiers). + Using Altars as well... On average, my maps become 250%+ Quantity, and 200%+ rarity... tried rituals, strongboxes, harbingers, etc. and, I found ZERO apothecary card so far ;) and this really SUCKS! They do drop, but yes they had their drops significantly reduced.
1. Farming div cards, especially from raw drops, is pretty much dead this league. 2. Alternative div card farming options include: -strong box pilfering scarab strat -stacked deck opening -Kingsmarch Mappers (I have run 300+ 8-mod maps with defiled cath scryed, 0 apoth. But have gotten an apoth from stacked decks and another from mappers. 3. Strand drops a perfectly good div card naturally (I See Brothers), why waste a value scry on it? “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.”

Update, just dropped a apothecary on a scryed map with the titanic exile farm strat. It does happen still.
