Hunter's Cunning/Deadly Prey

Its hard to know for sure but it really doesn't feel like hunters cunning is actually giving any real bonuses. Neither the loot, nor the damage seems to be impacted from having increased stacks. Anyone else experience this ?

I feel the same way. I killed a yellow beast with 29 stacks, held alt to see the drops and it only dropped 4 items.
