Leap Slam Inconsistency help
I'm having a issue here that I don't know what it is.
I know that leap slam should be use with at least some attack speed (I'm an elementalist), the thing is: Sometimes the leap is slow, but instant (if that makes sense). As it should be. But another, the char prepares then jump. That's what is tilting me. It's inconsistent. With faster attack or not, it's the same thing. For what I know, even with a slow attack speed it should be always the same thing right ? I'm missing somenting ? Thanks in advance. Last bumped on Jul 31, 2024, 10:02:00 PM

Do you have any other attack speed modifiers that are conditional? If your onslaught flask is on/off that will affect the attack speed. Probably drastically as well on a spell build.

No. The attack rate is the same all the jumps, 1.56

So are you just testing in a straight line in the hideout? It could be something to do with start of animation being slow. Are you doing any other skills and are you jumping the same difference everytime without mobs interacting?
I sort of know what you are talking about, I think I've encountered it before, but I don't know the answer. I know the gem has +.55 to attack time, and some funny interaction with other skills like the way it works with frost blink, but I cant replicate what you are describing currently. |

I'm still trying to use it, because I can't make lightning warp almost instant to change, so I used leap slam in almost all conditions, and happens every time.
But what bothers me it's why is it inconsistent. I can't replicate the "prepare" animation or jumping correctly. It just happens. |

" I think it's the same behavior you'll see with Flame Dash, or at least similar. But I'm a bit too tired to go in-game to test it out right now. Flame Dash is instant when cast, but for a short time after casting, casting again will have a cast time. |
