Idle smelters cost wages

As far as I have been able to test, this only applies to smelting and none of the other professions, which makes me think this is a bug. Whenever you have one specific type of ore left, say for example crimson, ALL of your assigned smelters will cost wages, even the ones assigned to for example verisium. Whenever your crimson is all done being smelted, NONE of the workers will cost wages.

It is true of Miners and Smelters.

If they have no more of their assigned Ore to work with, they will work on other types of Ore instead, until none remains. In your example, even though your smelters were assigned to Verisium--you had no Verisium to smelt, but your had Crimson Iron, so they worked smelting that instead.

Both Mining and Smelting show this information if you go to their respect Information boards and hover the help icon to the left of the window title.

This should be treated as a bug, not a feature.
I needed a specific amount of ore to upgrade, so I didn't assign anyone to that smelting process. However, other workers started processing that ore anyway, so I had to remove all the smelters.
